Week 9 concluded with our annual Inter-Whānau haka competition. For the first time all Whānau performed their own haka rather than the school’s haka. The progress over the years of the competition has been impressive. All Whānau now have strong choreography to support their passionate performances.
Well done to Tirohanga for taking out first place for the fourth time.
A special mention must be made of Raukura Takuira (Yr 9 Tirohanga) who wrote Kaitaataki’s haka. What a gift. Thank you to our former learners: Bella (Whainga), Konye (Kaitaataki), Paine (Auaha), Kauri (Tirohanga) and the legendary Shay (Kaitoro) for their judging expertise.
